Make Peace with Your Regrets!!!

Make Peace with Your Regrets!!!

Dear Friends,
How are you all? What’s new in your lives? Well, friends, a fortnight ago, during a week-long motivational session, I happened to meet a person who’s quiet, confident, and impressive persona, and this made him stand out in a crowd. We used to smile at each other from a distance daily, however, due to our busy schedule; we couldn’t get a chance to interact with each other. Apart from that, we, both, had different friend circle and our group discussion sessions were also conducted separately. During our long discussions regarding life, relation, how well we comprehend our relations and a life-changing, horrific accident which he met with, he poured his heart to me and at that point, I found out how burdened he was with immense guilt and regrets for not valuing his wife and children, for making their lives miserable at one point of his life. Though I can’t give the entire account of our conversation he hated himself for not being with his family members, whenever they needed him. To relieve himself from his regretful past, he authored the autobiography which is about to be launched very soon.

A Life without Regrets

So friends, let’s talk about life without regrets first. Well, it’s very significant to acknowledge our faults; either we make them deliberately or unknowingly. People, who are not capable enough to recognize where they are at fault, live in fool’s paradise. I mean they live in a constant denial which makes them self-centered and arrogant and let me say that such people repent after, they lose their valuable relations. So in nutshell, there’s nothing wrong, if we accept our errors due to which somebody gets hurt or tormented. We all know, “To err is human and to forgive is divine.”

A Life Full of Regrets

Friends, it’s vitally significant to understand that a life full of regrets, remorse, and qualms prevents us from living an extraordinary life. Such a life is devoid of joy and gratification. Admitting our faults or errors may help us to loosen our guilt. Sooner or later, we should aim at how to evolve as human beings with the passing time; moreover, living in constant pain of regrets mars our prospect of a happy and prosperous life. So, it’s really important to learn how to deal with the flawed moments which create havoc in our lives.
So in the end, I wish to say merely one thing that being empathetic will help us to overcome the grief which is generated due to regrets. If we really love our family, friends, and well-wishers, then we shouldn’t take a moment to empathize with the pain; they are going through because of our mistakes. Since, in this life of ups and downs, they are the only support system for us, when we feel tired or lonely.

At the End

So, till our next meeting, take care of yourself, be happy and healthy. Love yourself and never be hesitant while accepting your mistake to avoid regrets later.

Bye,

Mamta Sharma

    1. First of all, I'd like to express my thankfulness to you for taking out time to go through my blogs. I keep waiting for your wonderful feedback. Neha, actually my blog was based on my conversation with a fellow, whom I met during a workshop. Hence, it focuses more on the regrets in relations only. But the moral of the story is that reliving the painful instances multiplies our grief. And it is better to make a commitment to ourselves to be more careful while making significant decisions so that we could have lives devoid of regrets.
