10 Reasons Why We Should Spend Time with the Elderly People

Image
I still remember how during my childhood days, I used to spend some time with the elderly people of my building. I can’t forget the immense love and affection; they used to scatter over me for a little amount of my time. I used to do their petty works such as cutting their nails or helping them to bathe or to read out newspapers to them. They had interesting life experiences to share and the more time I would spend with them, the more attached I would feel with them. Though none of them is alive now they exist in my life in the form of their blessings. I read somewhere that loneliness is a kind of epidemic. In a country like India, this problem has emerged since people started preferring nuclear families. Since people are so occupied in their lives that they don’t have time to spend with their aging parents. The old age home is the consequence of spreading indifference towards our parents. So, let’s talk about the 10 reasons why we should spend time with the aging...

Self-Development: a Persistent Process of Learning

Image
I grew up in an orthodox Brahmin family during the mid-80s and early 90s. The bitter experiences and turbulent accidents affected my personality and mindset so profoundly and negatively that I lost my confidence entirely. Those childhood and teenage experiences made me timid and a person with no confidence. Due to which, I had to work very hard to be the person that I am today. Some years ago, when I realized that I was left with no option rather than working on my mindset and personality, I started looking for ways that could be helpful. The very first aspect which I wanted to change about myself was to have a self-value which I hardly had. Nobody paid any attention to me or my viewpoints. No matter how hard I would try, no one gave any heed to me. We all are familiar with the fact that the feeling of being ‘No One’ hurts us a lot. Let me tell you that we all are living in the best era as there’s easy access to the internet. I started watching the motivational videos which w...

We Vs Others

Image
Hello Folks, how are you all? My today's blog is about if we are truly committed to ourselves. It's very significant to ponder this thought. After all, this is our life and we, only we ...are responsible for it. We must take responsibility  for our lives and actions. Why do we keep looking at others for making certain changes in our lives? Why do we keep blaming others for our failures or problems? Why do we keep thinking about others' ways or techniques to change our lives positively or the other way round? OMG!! Our attitude has made our lives more miserable. During my training sessions, people's questions bewilder me as they seem to have bothered about others more than their own lives. People ask the questions such as how to deal with the people ( others ) who irritate them or how to cope with problematic situations which are created by their colleagues (again others ) deliberately so on and so forth. Most interestingly, they are damn sure that al...

This isn't Over...

Image
On Sunday morning, I was travelling, when someone called me up to share something very significant. It was very disappointing to hear the news as it was about a young school boy who committed suicide. The boy was scolded for riding a bike without license because he hit a cycle rickshaw. The boy was sent back home by the principal with a warning to not to repeat the mistake. Everything seemed OK but nobody comprehended what the boy was going through. As soon as the boy reached his place, he took out his father’s revolver and shot himself. Unfortunately, his parents were not present at that time or this tragedy would have been avoided. The young boy, who would have several dreams about him, couldn’t fulfill them. What a life his parents would have imagined for him but alas this conversation seems futile now. But through my blog, I would like to give a message to all the young boys and girls to not to raise such a step as their lives shouldn’t be ended in this way. No matter how...

Accessories Add Charm to Our Personality

Image
According to Google dictionary, an accessory is a thing which can be added to something else in order to make it more useful, versatile, or attractive . Indeed, they do. A person with simple looks and ordinary clothes gets an extraordinary looks if he or she knows how to select the right kind of accessories . People love to have a collection of sunglasses, watches, scarves, earrings, bindis (a patch made of plastic, available in different shapes and colours), valets, shoes etc. Accessories have become the inseparable part of our day to day life. Going out with them seems an impossible task and we feel very confident while wearing them. But in this blog, I’m not talking about the accessories which we use in our day to day life. I wish to focus on something else. I’m talking about the real accessories which we already have and don’t have to purchase them from anywhere else. These accessories are fantastic and add some extra charm to our personality. We need to expl...
